Hiking
Here at Pine Springs Ranch we have many hiking trails both on and of camp property. Each of our trails gives way to breathtaking views and many photo opportunities. Whenever you go out hiking remember to take water with you. We have three main trails here at PSR.
Strawberry Springs Trail
Since this trail is on Pine Springs Ranch property no permits are required. Thanks to T.L.C. from the Garden Grove Pathfinder Club, this is a well marked loop trail. The trailhead can be found above the North Village Cabins and the Ropes Course. After a short initial climb from the trailhead, the trail goes down through the woods then climbs back up to the spring. After crossing the spring, the trail returns through high chaparral with lovely views of Garner Valley and Pine Springs Ranch. Birds and other wildlife can be numerous on this trail. Make sure to take your camera for this breathtaking hike.

White Rock Trail
Since this trail is on Pine Springs Ranch property no permits are required. This trail is the continuation of the dirt road that goes past the go-cart tracks. It is a steep up and down hike, but the rewarding views from the top are worth the effort. This hike is especially nice in the morning or evening. Sunscreen and a water bottle are advised during the midday since there is little shade. Make sure to take your camera for the amazing views at the top.

Spitler Peak Trail
This trail is actually off Pine Springs Ranch property so a permit is required for this hike, but don't worry we have the permits available for no extra charge. This well marked trail takes all day! The trailhead is approximately one mile down Apple Canyon Road on the left. The first several miles meander delightfully close to the meadows of Garner Valley, and continue climbing to the base of the saddle. At the switchbacks the climbing begins in earnest. Once on the spine of the saddle, the trail joins the Pacific Crest Trail to the summit of Spitler Peak. Along the spine to the peak, the views are incredible. On most days the Pacific Ocean, Palm Springs, and the Salton Sea are clearly visible. Take your camera as well as bug repellent, sunscreen, and definitely take water with you. So grab a friend and get hiking.
